My name is Cortney Hazelrigg, I am 21 years old and was born and raised here in Springfield. I went to High School at Kickapoo and during high school I swam all four years. While swimming at Kickapoo I was on the State team all four years, and was the teams backstroker for our medley relay all four years as well. As you can see swimming was a huge part of my life. I began swimming at the age of 8 and swam competitively all the way up until I graduated high school. When I was not swimming growing up you could find me at my grandma's house riding horses. I have been riding horses since I was only a couple months old. My horse is half missuori fox trotter and half qaurter horse, his name is Gator and he turned twenty seven this past June.
I have been here at OTC for two years now and hopefully this spring I will transfer to MSU to study elementary education. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of becoming a first or second grade teacher.

Courtney thats awesome that you are so accomplished in swimming! I have actually thought about being a elementary teacher as well. Good luck this semester!!
What a beautiful horse! I think it is great that you are such an accomplished swimmer. I am curious, with the interest you have in swimming and in educating young children, have you ever considered combining the two? I bet you would make a wonderful swim teacher. As a mother and a grandmother, I believe every child should know how to swim and be safe around water.
Swimming's a great sport! That's impressive that you got into it competitively. It's a really intense sport! I love swimming casually and going to all the water parks and stuff. Ton of fun to feel weightless!
Hey, that's cool you that you swam competitively. I'm not a very good swimmer, but I am a certified open water diver.
Hey cousin! I just thought that i would leave you a comment back! Its awesome that we can be able to go out and ride our horses for hours and not have to worry about everyday trouble and just forget everything and relax! You are defintilely one of a kind!!! Toy Boat!!!!!
Thats awesome that you got to experience a fun sport like swimming! I wish my school offered it.
I too am a elementary ed major. As for swimming, all i remember about our highschool girls swim team is that the senios way of hazing the freshman swim girls was to make them not shave there legs for like a month..it was always pretty funny to see.
