Coy Draheim-Intro

Hi I am Coy Draheim and i was born in Springfield, MO. on May 7th, 1990. I grew up in Lebanon and moved to Springfield when I was ten. I went to middle school at Pershing and then graduated from Glendale in 2009. I am currently going to school to get my degree in teaching and would love to end up teaching history and be a basketball coach. Ideally i would like to be a middle school history teacher and go to school for my masters degree.

Some of my hobbies include playing sports, listening to all kinds of music, reading and being around family and friends. I love to play sports but my favorite would have to be basketball. I played in high school and would love to continue enjoying the game as a coach later in life. Family is also really important to me and I enjoy being around my nephews. I have three nephews, Javen, Jaxon, and Jayln which are a handful at times but also a lot of fun to hang out with. They make me want to have a kid of my own but not until after i finish college and settle down in my career.

Right on with the basketball coach choice! Basketball is awesome. Do you like watching NCAA or NBA basketball? If so what are your favorite teams.

Its a cool that your into basketball, maybe we played against each other. Did you play AAU basketball when you were younger? Its smart that your waiting to have kids until after your done with college and you are financially stable.

I played basketball for 7 years until I just graduated from High School! Though I am not a "sporty" girl, I REALLY love basketball! That's so cool that you have a passion for Junior Highers---I consider that a tough age to work with. SOo, props to you!

I hope to be a teacher as well! Your love of sports is something that we have in common, but I have to say my favorite is football. Good luck with all of your plans and I hope we have a great semester!

Well it seems like we have a lot of future teachers in this class. But thats not a bad thing. It sounds like you have quiet a bit of patients. That will definitely help. Good luck with your plans.
